Zachary Buck Tabbed as Sports Event Manager at Destination Ann Arbor

Buck previously worked for the Detroit Lions and Playfly Sports

Destination Ann Arbor and the Ann Arbor Sports Commission have announced the appointment of Zachary Buck as the new sports event manager.

Buck has a broad background in the sports industry, having worked with organizations such as the Detroit Lions, the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and most recently, Playfly Sports where he worked with Eastern Michigan University to manage ticket sales, service and operations for concerts and athletic events.

“I’m excited to join Destination Ann Arbor and the Ann Arbor Sports Commission as the new sports event manager,” Buck said. “I look forward to collaborating with our partners to bring more amateur sports events to Washtenaw County. I’m grateful for this opportunity and appreciate the warm welcome from the Destination Ann Arbor team.”

Prior to his role at Playfly Sports, Buck served as ticket operations and service manager for the Griffins, where he managed various ticket sales operations, customer service initiatives and maintained ticketing databases. He also gained experience with the Detroit Lions and provided assistance in ticket fulfillment and customer service. Buck holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Eastern Michigan University.
