Sports travel company Destination Sport Group will become the Official Travel Partner of the United States-based Women’s Elite Rugby as part of a multi-year agreement.
Launching its inaugural season in 2025, Women’s Elite Rugby will feature six professional teams with the opening round of fixtures kicking off in March. The league is aiming to capitalize on the momentum the sport has in America as it will host Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2033.
“This collaboration will not only provide seamless travel solutions for our teams, but it also demonstrates Destination Sport’s commitment to rugby and the growth of women’s sports,” said Jessica Hammond-Graf, president of the Women’s Elite Rugby and former rugby sevens national team player.
Destination Sport Travel will provide support to the league and its six clubs, coordinating flights, accommodation and logistics for traveling teams, alongside business travel support for staff and executives. Destination Sport Group will also work to create touring opportunities for grassroots rugby-playing organizations and fan travel experiences.
“Our partnership with Women’s Elite Rugby continues to exemplify our priority in the growth of women’s sports and the sport of rugby,” said Jeremy Parkins, president of Destination Sport North America. “In North America, we’re committed to playing our part through our successful partnership with Major League Rugby and we are eager to replicate this success with Women’s Elite Rugby.”
