Wasserman Media Group has been selected to manage the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for the fifth consecutive year. The tournament, which runs from November 4 to 11 at The O2 in London, will feature 30 matches between the world’s top eight men’s singles players and doubles teams, in a round-robin and knockout format.
Wasserman Media Group will work with the ATP to manage the event from concept to onsite delivery, overseeing the pre-match player choreography, special effects and screen content for both the daily shows and final presentation ceremonies.
Fans will experience a daily pre-match show complete with special effects, lighting, projections, player introductions, bespoke video content and experiential activities. The show continues through the match, providing continual entertainment for fans, even during breaks and end changes.
In addition, Wasserman will assist the ATP in designing and installing some sections of the tournament sponsor hospitality areas within The O2.
“Since 2009, over 1 million fans have attended the tournament, achieving an unprecedented number of sold-out crowds and making it the biggest indoor tennis tournament ever staged in the world,” said Tournament Managing Director Chris Kermode. “The success of the tournament lies in giving fans an outstanding experience and to present the tennis in an entertaining way. The team at Wasserman continue to do a great job at delivering this entertainment, ensuring that for one week in November, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals becomes the focus of the sports and entertainment world.”
