VisitPittsburgh Tabs Jim Britt as VP of Sports Events
Britt previously held positions with the Pittsburgh Penguins

Britt, who has nearly 20 years of experience in sports management, will be responsible for overseeing VisitPittsburgh’s sports tourism initiatives and elevating Pittsburgh’s reputation as a sports destination.
“It’s an honor to join VisitPittsburgh and contribute to the growth of a city I’m so passionate about,” said Britt. “If there’s one thing I have learned over my tenure in local sports, it’s that Pittsburgh is a city that unifies and rallies together — especially to host some of the most iconic sports events in the world. I’m excited to join such a talented team and work across the region to put Pittsburgh on the map and bring even more unforgettable events to this great city.”
Previously, Britt has held leadership roles as the executive director of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation; vice president of fan development and growth for the Pittsburgh Penguins and most recently, as head of partnership solutions at WQED, Pittsburgh’s local PBS station.
