Visit Casper has finished the first year of a campaign with Logan Wilson, a Casper native and linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals, to promote the Wyoming destination as a place to visit.
Wilson and his wife Morgan have been promoting Casper and Natrona County through reels, Instagram posts and stories with content that included summer activities, places to eat, things to do, skiing, winter recreation, turkey hunting and the College National Finals Rodeo.
“As a tourism destination, we are continually competing for visitors,” said Tyler Daugherty, president/chief executive officer of Visit Casper. “This partnership has been an innovative way for us to reach new audiences and appeal to a wider demographic.”
The bureau released the results of its year-long partnership, which had a reach of 136,840 and delivered 179,856 impressions to Wilson’s social media audience.
“Having the opportunity to rediscover some of the activities I’d do or restaurants I’d eat at growing up has been a lot of fun and this partnership with Visit Casper has really opened my eyes to how much Casper has grown and changed over the last few years,” said Wilson. “I feel like every time I go home, there’s something new to do or somewhere new to eat; I love seeing that.”
Located in central Wyoming, Casper and Natrona County includes Casper Mountain, Hogadon Basin Ski Area and Alcova Reservoir.
“By partnering with the Wilsons, Casper’s story is shared in an authentic and first-person way,” added Daugherty. “We look forward to continuing this partnership and having Logan and Morgan be ambassadors and champions for Casper and Natrona County.”
