Venatour Sports Travel Adds U.S. Division

Venatour US will start January 2 as a new division of the Venatour Sports Travel brand to create and deliver supporter, school and sports tours to and from Europe.

Venatour USA will offer supporter packages into the United States for specific sporting events, with an emphasis on school and club playing tours in and out of the U.S. The company also plans to open an office in the United States in the near future.

Venatour Sports Travel was formed in 2012 by former England rugby and British & Irish Lions player Gareth Chilcott. It earlier this year signed an agreement with USA Rugby that will offer club playing tour services for USA Rugby members through the United Kingdom and Europe, along with ticket and travel packages for USA Eagles fans.

“Speaking with any seasoned player, coach or referee in the rugby community, one of the most common themes is how one can find a whole new love for the game when touring to play an international side,” said Brandy Medran, USA Rugby general manager of commercial and events. “Traveling to another country with those closest to you in your rugby club, learning about the world of rugby and having the opportunity to play against host clubs is a legendary experience and one we’re happy to help provide to USA Rugby members. Adding with that the opportunity for rugby enthusiasts in the United States to also gain access to premier international events like the Six Nations, Rugby World Cup, and USA Eagles tours, we couldn’t be happier to find a partner in Venatour.”
