Valley Forge to Host 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship
Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will be venue for event
Posted On: July 11, 2023 By :Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, will host the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships with approximately 1,700 athletes across the country ranging in age from 6 to 20 years old expected to compete.
The announcement was made this week by the YMCA of the USA, the national resource office for the 2,600 YMCAs across the country. The championship will take place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center and will be open to the public.
The event from June 20-24, 2024, will be hosted by the Greater Philadelphia YMCA and the Willow Grove Y Twisters. The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits and serves more than 150,000 individuals each year across 15 branches located in Berks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Pike, Burlington and Camden counties.
The first YMCA National Gymnastics Championship took place in 1938. Each year, a local YMCA to selected to host the event. In addition to the competition, the event features an opening ceremony, parade of athletes and a senior reception to honor all graduating high school seniors and scholarship recipients.
