The New York City Council has voted to allow renovations to the U.S. Tennis Association Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park.
The legislation enables the USTA to replace and renovate the infrastructure and facilities of the center.
“The updates and improvements to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will enhance the usage of the tennis center for local residents, visitors and professional and recreational tennis players while also preserving the U.S. Open Tennis Championships as a world-renowned event,” said David Haggerty, USTA president and CEO.
