USA Hockey Partners With Concussion Education Program
CrashCourse will be made available to athletes, coaches and parents as concussion awareness
Posted On: October 28, 2020 By :USA Hockey is increasing visibility around concussion awareness, announcing a partnership with TeachAids to use its CrashCourse program as a resource in the national governing body’s overall education materials.
TeachAids, a nonprofit in global education innovation, created CrashCourse to improve understanding and awareness surrounding concussions among youth athletes in all sports. The program was created in collaboration with more than 100 medical and industry experts. The curriculum integrates technology and interactive features to appeal to athletes growing up in a digital world.
“Utilizing CrashCourse will greatly enhance our concussion education program for athletes, coaches and parents,” said Dr. Michael Stuart from the Mayo Clinic, who serves as USA Hockey’s chief medical and safety officer. “I’m proud of our ongoing focus and commitment to health and safety and this is another resource that will be extremely beneficial.”

USA Hockey will distribute the program on multiple fronts, including at USAHockey.com.
“The CrashCourse products are a great fit to complement our existing concussion education offerings,” said Kevin Margarucci, manager of player safety for USA Hockey. “We’ll be implementing the curriculum throughout our programs.”
