Posted On: April 7, 2020 By :USA Curling will host its 2021 Arena National Championship in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event will be staged at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, May 17–22.
The announcement comes days after the national governing body announced the cancellation of the 2020 event, which had been scheduled for Gillette, Wyoming. USA Curling announced that Gillette will host the event instead in 2022. The city was to be the first Wyoming destination to host a curling national championship.
In a statement announcing the 2021 event, USA Curling said it will work with the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, Marlborough Curling Club, Discover Central Massachusetts and the Worcester Region Chamber in organizing the competition.
The Arena National Championships are designed for clubs that conduct all their ice activities by renting ice time from an arena as opposed to a curling-specific venue.
