U.S. Soccer has become the latest national governing body to partner with TeachAids to incorporate the company’s CrashCourse materials into its concussion-education offerings for players, parents and coaches.
TeachAids created the program in collaboration with more than 100 medical and industry experts to improve understanding and awareness surrounding concussions among youth athletes. The curriculum includes interactive features to appeal specifically to athletes who are growing up in the digital age.
“At U.S. Soccer, our primary concern for all ages and levels of participants is health and safety,” said U.S. Soccer Chief Medical Officer Dr. George Chiampas. “We take head injuries especially seriously. We are delighted to strengthen our existing concussion education offerings with the addition of the excellent CrashCourse materials.”
U.S. Soccer joins a growing list of NGBs that have recently partnered with TeachAids, including U.S. Ski & Snowboard, USA Gymnastics and USA Hockey.
“Our free CrashCourse products are widely acclaimed, and are rapidly becoming the gold standard for concussion education and certification,” said Dr. Piya Sorcar, founder and CEO of TeachAids. “We are honored to be selected to join U.S. Soccer to participate in the health and safety education of its players of all ages and parents, as well as its coaches and officials.”
