U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced its first commercial partnership with another country’s national ski and snowboard organization as it will work with Ski Austria on sports, marketing and commercial opportunities.
“We are pleased to expand our relationship with Ski Austria,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, U.S. Ski & Snowboard president and chief executive officer. “Their expertise and excellence are evident and we know this partnership will improve us both on and off the snow. We share a vision and ambition for the future of snow sports and I can’t wait to see how we can make improvements together for our stakeholders and fans.”
The partnership from a sporting perspective will include shared access to training facilites in the U.S. and Austria for both elite and development-level athletes, allowing for expanding training opportunities along with the exchange of best practices in coaching, athlete development and sport science. The partnership also includes developing joint marketing initiatives to create opportunities for sponsors and media partners, collaborating across multiple digital assets and the co-creation of potential new events.
“We are thrilled to embark on this deeper collaboration with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard team,” said Christian Scherer, Ski Austria chief executive officer. “By combining our strengths and expertise, we are confident in our ability to create a significant impact, delivering value not only to our athletes but also to our fans and business partners. This partnership reflects our shared ambition to drive innovation and inspire the next generation of skiers and snowboarders worldwide.”
