The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee has announced that five UCHealth hospitals and clinics in southern Colorado, along with 100 clinics in the region, will serve as a national medical center for athletes who live and train in Colorado Springs.
UCHealth’s Memorial Hospital Central is adjacent to the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, where roughly 15,000 athletes train each year. It is now recognized as one of four national medical centers within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network, joining Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles; UF Health in Gainesville, Florida, and The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
“The USOPC strives to deliver world-class, comprehensive health care to Team USA athletes, which wouldn’t be possible without the support, dedication and expertise of our U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network partners,” said Dr. Jonathan Finnoff, USOPC chief medical officer. “The continuation of our partnership with UCHealth makes perfect sense. For more than 15 years, UCHealth has been more than just a neighbor — they’ve been a trusted partner, standing alongside us in supporting and championing Team USA athletes.”
