Western & Southern Open
Date: August 11–19
Venue: Lindner Family Tennis Center, Mason, Ohio
Event description: The Western & Southern Open is the nation’s oldest professional tennis tournament played in its city of origin. The annual event is staged at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, near Cincinnati. The venue has opened its new South Building for this year’s event. First played in 1899 at Xavier University, the tournament has been a fixture in the Cincinnati area for more than a century.

USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS)
Date: August 15–19 (15U/16U), August 22–26 (11U/14U/17U)
Venue: USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina
Event description: The most comprehensive player identification program offered by USA Baseball. Sixteen regional teams from across the country will compete in their respective age groups at the NTIS event at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. From the event, USA Baseball will invite a minimum of 68 players to future National Team Trials, National Team Development Program (NTDP) and Tournament of Stars opportunities.

2018 U.S. Rowing Masters National Championships
Date: August 16–19
Venue: Lake Merritt, Oakland, California
Event description: Hosted by U.S. Rowing, Visit Oakland and the Oakland rowing community, the 2018 U.S. Rowing Masters National Championships is staged at Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland. The regatta is an opportunity for masters rowers from across the country to come together and compete for national championships in more than 200 categories. The course is a 1,000-meter, eight-lane, fully-buoyed course with stakeboats.

U.S. Gymnastics Championships
Date: August 16–19
Venue: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
Event description: Recognition of the men’s and women’s 2008 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team and alternates is just one of the in-venue fan activities during the 2018 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, the national championships for men’s and women’s gymnastics, at Boston’s TD Garden.
