“The West Midlands is at the heart of sport in the UK, with a track record of hosting successful business events, so it is fitting that one of the region’s world-class sporting settings The Belfry will host TEAMS Europe ’26,” said Neil Rami, chief executive of the West Midlands Growth Company. “Sport helps to put a region on the international stage and the West Midlands has consistently shown that it has the passion, infrastructure and expertise to put on a memorable and productive conference for delegates.”
TEAMS Europe — the world’s leading conference and expo for the sports-event industry — unites sport event organizers with destinations, venues and suppliers interested in hosting or supporting their events. The 2025 conference was staged in partnership with the International Sports Convention at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
TEAMS Europe debuted in 2022 following the model of the TEAMS Conference & Expo in the United States. The conference unites European and North American sport organizations with destination representatives from around the world.
TEAMS Europe ’26 will be held at The Belfry, an award-winning hotel and resort situated in the heart of the country in Royal Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire, located less than 10 miles from the city center of Birmingham. The venue is home to 300-plus luxurious bedrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, events and meetings spaces, a leisure club and The Belfry Spa.
Its three golf courses, including The Brabazon and PGA National, are recognized as world-class. The Belfry has hosted the Ryder Cup four times, more than any other venue in the world. It was the home for Europe’s win in 1985 and a tie in 1989 that kept the Ryder Cup in European hands. After the United States won in 1993, Europe returned to The Belfry in 2002 and triumphed for the third time at the venue.
