Video: TEAMS ’22 Celebrates the Best of the Sports-Event Industry
Posted On: October 27, 2022 By :TEAMS ’22, the biggest TEAMS Conference & Expo ever presented by SportsTravel and hosted this year by the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau, showcased how the sports-event industry has led the travel and tourism rebound in the post-pandemic era.
The annual SportsTravel Awards showcased the best events and organizations in the past year while educational programming has included a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX and state of youth sports. The tremendous TEAMS Expo Hall allowed CEOs, executive directors and event managers from sports organizations to continue the tradition of TEAMS being the single best appointment-based trade show at which to do business.
Future attendees at TEAMS, which include the gatekeepers to the 66.5 million room nights and $39.7 billion in direct spending generated by sports-related travel annually, will gather in Columbus, Ohio, in 2025, and Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 2029. TEAMS ’25 will be held October 13–16, 2025, in Columbus, the first time the city has hosted. The dates of TEAMS ’29 will be announced at a later date. Next year’s TEAMS Conference will be October 2–5, 2023, in The Palm Beaches, Florida.
