Street League Skateboarding has announced more details on the return of the SLS Championship Tour to the Pacific Northwest.
Everett, Washington, will host the tour’s second stop during a weekend event August 13–14 at Angel of the Winds Arena. Tickets for the event are on sale at streetleague.com.
“For over a decade, SLS has paved the way for street skateboarding’s rise and created a generation of fans with its unrivaled live entertainment experience,” said Joe Carr, chief executive officer of Thrill One Sports and Entertainment. “We are thrilled to return to the Pacific Northwest and bring the excitement of elite skate competition to Everett this summer.”
The August event will mark this first time since 2011 that the SLS will visit the Seattle area. Other U.S. dates include July 16–17 in Jacksonville, Florida, and October 8–9 in Las Vegas.
The field will feature 50 of the sport’s best skaters, including defending SLS champions Jagger Eaton and Pamela Rose as well as Tokyo Olympic gold medalists Yuto Horigome and Momiji Nishiya of Japan.
The SLS, founded in 2010, is street skateboarding’s marquee competition series and hosts events around the world. This year’s Super Crown World Championship will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nov. 5–6.
