Springfield Sports Commission Adds Alexandra Finnan

The Springfield Sports Commission in Missouri has announced the addition of Alexandra Finnan as its new coordinator of sports strategies and events.

Finnan’s most recent experience was with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, where she contributed to major events, including the NCAA Women’s Division I Volleyball Championship. She will be tasked with contributing to the continued growth of the Springfield Sports Commission and bringing events to the area.

“After just a few days in Springfield, I can already see how special this community is,” Finnan said. “I can’t wait to bring impactful sporting events to the city for residents and visitors to enjoy. I’m looking forward to the future.”

Finnan holds both a master of business administration in sports business and a master of science in sport and entertainment management from the University of South Florida, as well as a bachelor of science in marketing from the same institution. While at USF, Finnan was actively involved with the school’s athletic program, where she helped lead marketing initiatives and event management across various sports.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ali to our Sports Commission team,” said Lance Kettering, executive director. “Her passion for the sports industry and the experiences she has already garnered will be instrumental in advancing our mission to enhance sports tourism and community engagement in Springfield.”
