Welcome to the SportsTravel Bid Bowl. Here you will find a list of events that are actively seeking hosts, with RFPs from regional, national and international sports-event organizers who are looking to partner with destinations in the future. To find out about each item below, click on “More Information” to get details about what the event organizer is looking for, as well as a complete RFP with even more specifications about the event including venue requirements, hotel needs and fees associated with bidding.

2026 Xterra World Tour

Bid Deadline: April 28

About the Organization: Xterra is a global lifestyle brand that champions the outdoor enthusiast in their pursuit of relentless adventure. What began more than two decades ago when the sport of cross-tri was born on the shoreline of Maui, has now grown to 13 off-road event categories spread across 47 countries. Organizers are looking for events from March through November based on location and climate with events held Thursday through Sunday typically. MORE INFORMATION


Hyrox World Championships

Bid Deadline: May 1

About the Organization: Hyrox for the first time it is inviting cities across the world to bid to host the World Championships, which was in Nice, France last year and will be in Chicago in June of 2025. HYROX has opened two separate opportunities for bidding, the Season 2025/26 World Championships event or Season 2026/27 World Championships event. The bid requires the city to offer Hyrox financial and commercial support with each event anticipated to attract over 6,000 athletes from 80+ countries, plus 10,000 spectators. MORE INFORMATION


2030 and 2031 FIS World Championships

Bid Deadline: May 1

About the Organization: The FIS Council is beginning the process to find hosts for the 2030 Ski Flying World Championships and 2031 Para World Championships, Nordic World Ski Championships and the Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships. The bidding process will be a year-long timeline with a final decision taken at the FIS Council in Belgrade in June 2026. MORE INFORMATION


USA Track and Field Youth Outdoor Championships and Long Distance Running Championships

Bid Deadline: July 1

About the Organization: USA Track & Field is the National Governing Body for track and field, Paralympic track and field, long distance running, and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world’s oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the number one high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 30 million adult runners in the United States. USA Softball 2027 Adult National Championships and Junior Olympic Championships

Bid Deadline: July 31

About the Organization: USA Softball provides people of all ages the opportunity to play the game they love at a variety of levels, including recreational, league, tournament and National Championship play for fast pitch, slow pitch and modified pitch. MORE INFORMATION


USA Dodgeball 2026 Events

Bid Deadline: August 1

About the Organization: Each year, USA Dodgeball organizes a series of six tournaments culminating in the Nationals event. USA Dodgeball primarily looks for venues with hardwood or sport courts; volleyball courts are optimal as they are generally the correct size without modification. A minimum of seven volleyball courts are needed. MORE INFORMATION


USCAA 2027 and 2028 Small College World Series

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: The Small College World Series brings together the USCAA Softball & Baseball National Championships to one destination, held concurrently in a single destination. Held in Dubois, Pennsylvania since 2018, the event features the top 10 small college softball and top 10 small college baseball teams in the nation. The weeklong event brings more than 550 participants into the host destination. MORE INFORMATION


2026 U.S. Open Netball Championships

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: The U.S. Open Netball Championships since 2010 has brought together women’s and mixed co-ed netball teams from around the world to compete. The event has participation of 32 adult netball teams (approx. 500 athletes and volunteers) from across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, UK and Australia. MORE INFORMATION


USA Artistic Swimming Championships

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: USA Artistic Swimming hosts a series of national and international artistic swimming throughout the year. USA Artistic Swimming will accept bids from any city, CVB, sports commission or artistic swimming division interested in hosting a national event. The bid must provide facilities, commit services, supply personnel and volunteers and proposed host hotels to USA Artistic Swimming. USA Artistic Swimming is interested in multiyear agreements with hosts that will rotate through multiple events. Example would be to host 2026 Junior Olympic, 2027 Masters, and 2028 Youth/12U. Proposals are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis, so events may be awarded to cities that have submitted excellent bids in advance of the deadline. MORE INFORMATION


2026 Major League Quadball Championship

Bid Deadline: September 15

About the Organization: Major League Quadball is a national league that runs from June 1 to August 30. The majority of seasonal activity takes place between June 1 and July 31. The event features not only the Benepe Cup but the MLQ Next Gen Showcase, and Take Back the Pitch. The Next Gen Showcase is a series of matches highlighting the next generation of MLQ stars. Triton World Series

Bid Deadline: September 30

About the Organization: Triton is looking for a host destination for 2026–2028. Since Triton is a triathlon, a lake, ocean, river, reservoir or similar body of water, must be at a fairly close range. The event should attract 2.000-plus participants. The competition takes place across three consecutive days, separating the swim, the bike and the run, into individual events. MORE INFORMATION


Hoop It Up 3×3 Events

Bid Deadline: November 1

About the Organization: Founded in 1989, Kevin Garnett’s Hoop It Up is recognized as the most prolific grassroots basketball tour in the world with millions of participants having played in one of its city-based events​. Events are maximum of two days with a minimum of 4 full court basketball courts and an interest in indoor or outdoor hosting options. MORE INFORMATION


National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention

Bid Deadline: December 20

About the Organization: The National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention will attract some of the best college athletes in the country from over 160 major Universities like UCLA, Texas and Georgia to smaller Colleges like Liberty, Toledo and Tarelton St. 530 male and 160 female athletes will qualify to make the trip to Nationals culled from 9 Conference Championships held across the country in early March. World Gay Boxing Championships

Bid Deadline: December 30

About the Organization: The organization has held two boxing competitions. The first was in Sydney, delivered as part of World Pride, and the second was an exhibition event in Chicago. WGBC has been featured in CNN, BBC Sport, ABC, CBS, The Guardian and Out Magazine. It is looking for a space that can hold a boxing ring, training and officials area with at least 150-plus spectators, audio-visual capabilities and the ability to offer food and beverages. National Horseshoe Pitchers Association Events

Bid Deadline: December 31

About the Organization: The NHPA is looking for hosts for the 2026 World Doubles Championship, 2026 U.S. Nationals or U.S. Open plus the 2030 World Championships. The NHPA is the official governing body of sanctioned and maybe professional horseshoe pitching across the world, crowning world champions in nine divisions each summer. MORE INFORMATION


USA Boxing Future Events

Bid Deadline: December 31

About the Organization: USA Boxing has events on a variety of levels open for bidding in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Competitive bids will include facilities, services, value-in-kind donations and financial support to make the event successful for the city, Local Boxing Committee (LBC) and participants, while representing the USA Boxing brand. Each USA Boxing event welcomes on average 1,200 boxers, 800 coaches, and 100-150 officials & staff for a 7-day tournament. MORE INFORMATION


USA Taekwondo Finals & Festival Bid Packet 2027-2030

Bid Deadline: April 1, 2026

About the Organization: The event is held in September each year. The competition will be Friday through Sunday. Move-in will be Thursday with check-in beginning Thursday and move out will be Sunday at the conclusion of the tournament. Medalists from each of the regional tournaments as well as medalists from the national championship will be invited to participate in the event. The competition is open to athletes from 6 years of age and older with yellow to black belts. MORE INFORMATION


2027-2028 The Hartford Nationals conducted by Move United

Bid Deadline: October 16, 2026

About the Organization: The Move United Nationals is a multi-sport, week-long competition for athletes with a physical, visual, and/or intellectual impairment. Sports contested include archery, para powerlifting, paratriathlon, shooting (air rifle), swimming, track and field, and wheelchair tennis. MORE INFORMATION
