Welcome to the SportsTravel Bid Bowl. Here you will find a list of events that are actively seeking hosts, with RFPs from regional, national and international sports-event organizers who are looking to partner with destinations in the future. To find out about each item below, click on “More Information” to get details about what the event organizer is looking for, as well as a complete RFP with even more specifications about the event including venue requirements, hotel needs and fees associated with bidding.

USA Boxing Future Events

Bid Deadline: Rolling

About the Organization: USA Boxing has events on a variety of levels open for bidding in 2025, 2026 and 2027. USA Boxing’s events take place year-round, beginning with the first event in the spring and ending with the National Championships in December. Competitive bids will include facilities, services, value-in-kind donations and financial support to make the event successful for the city, Local Boxing Committee (LBC) and participants, while representing the USA Boxing brand. Each USA Boxing event welcomes on average 1,200 boxers, 800 coaches, and 100-150 officials & staff from across the United States for a 7-day tournament. MORE INFORMATION

USA Hockey Rivalry Series

Bid Deadline: January 31, 2025

About the Organization: USA Hockey is looking for two host sites for the 2025-26 season, with both games scheduled over the international break window of November 3-9, 2025. Both teams will arrive 4-7 days prior to the first game of the series for pre-competition practices and training. This date window is firm. The two host sites should be located within a reasonable driving distance (not more than 5 hours) from each other. Two host sites that are more than 5 hours apart will be considered if financial support is provided to fly the teams between cities. MORE INFORMATION

World Sailing Inclusion Championships

Bid Deadline: January 31, 2025

About the Organization: World Sailing is launching the World Sailing Inclusion Championships, an event set to celebrate and showcase inclusivity in the sport of sailing with a focus on disability. The World Sailing Inclusion Championships will embody the spirit of diversity, equality, and accessibility, aligning with World Sailing’s recently unveiled Para Inclusive Strategy for 2024-2029. The festival will bring together not only sailors, but also a wider community built on a foundation of inclusivity, with demonstration events, and onshore celebrations. MORE INFORMATION

AJGA Summer Events 2026

Bid Deadline: February 1, 2025

About the Organization: The American Junior Golf Association is interested in bringing an event to an area for a minimum of three years. AJGA is exploring opportunities during the months of March through August. The official event would take place from Wednesday through Sunday in March, April or May. The official event would take place from Sunday through Thursday in June, July or August. MORE INFORMATION

USA Pickleball National Championships

Bid Deadline: February 6, 2025

About the Organization: USA Pickleball is driving the sport’s development and has seen its membership surge from 4,071 in 2013 to over 70,000 by February 2023. USA Pickleball is actively seeking host cities for an array of events including the national championship, various regional championships and two annual meetings. The national championship is a nine-day event over November with a peak of 2,500 rooms per night. A minimum of 40 courts in one location is required. MORE INFORMATION

NWBA 2026-2027 Junior Nationals

Bid Deadline: February 15, 2025

About the Organization: Founded in 1948, the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) provides qualified individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to play, learn and compete in the sport of wheelchair basketball. The Junior Nationals event can be combined with the Adult Nationals event. There is an opportunity to combine or host over back-to-back weekends. The host location will be responsible for all costs associated with the event, however, will receive all revenues associated with the event. MORE INFORMATION

USA Gymnastics Events

Bid Deadline: March 14, 2025

About the Organization: USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for the sport in the United States and encompasses six disciplines: women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics and gymnastics for all. The organization is looking for hosts for the 2028 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, U.S. Classic, Nastia Liukin Cup, Winter Cup and Elite Team Cup. MORE INFORMATION

2025 Spikeball Championships

Bid Deadline: March 31, 2025

About the Organization: This Spikeball Tour Series Championship is the largest roundnet event in the U.S., bringing together some of the best competition from around the world to compete in over 10 divisions. Leading up to this event, there will have been three Majors and over 20 Challengers. The organizers request up to five grass or turf fields in one location with turf preferred. MORE INFORMATION

USA BMX 2026 National Event Schedule

Bid Deadline: April 1, 2025

About the Organization: A USA BMX National Event is part of an annual 30 race National Championship Series, which spans across the US and Canada. These events occur over weekends and include races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The 2026 National Series kicks of the international cycle for both country and individual Olympic qualifying positions. Approximately two-thirds of the 30 National Events are hosted at USA BMX sanctioned tracks, while the rest are hosted in arenas, civic centers, expo halls and equestrian arenas. MORE INFORMATION

USA Artistic Swimming Championships

Bid Deadline: September 1, 2025

About the Organization: USA Artistic Swimming hosts a series of national and international artistic swimming throughout the year. USA Artistic Swimming will accept bids from any city, CVB, sports commission or artistic swimming division interested in hosting a national event. The bid must provide facilities, commit services, supply personnel and volunteers and proposed host hotels to USA Artistic Swimming. Proposals for 2026 are due September 1, 2025. USA Artistic Swimming is interested in multiyear agreements with hosts that will rotate through multiple events. Example would be to host 2026 Junior Olympic, 2027 Masters, and 2028 Youth/12U. Proposals are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis, so events may be awarded to cities that have submitted excellent bids in advance of the deadline. MORE INFORMATION

2026 Major League Quadball Championship

Bid Deadline: September 15, 2025

About the Organization: Major League Quadball is a national league that runs from June 1 to August 30. The majority of seasonal activity takes place between June 1 and July 31. The event features not only the Benepe Cup but the MLQ Next Gen Showcase, and Take Back the Pitch. The Next Gen Showcase is a series of matches highlighting the next generation of MLQ stars. National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention

Bid Deadline: December 20, 2025

About the Organization: The National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention will attract some of the best college athletes in the country from over 160 major Universities like UCLA, Texas and Georgia to smaller Colleges like Liberty, Toledo and Tarelton St. 530 male and 160 female athletes will qualify to make the trip to Nationals culled from 9 Conference Championships held across the country in early March. World Gay Boxing Championships

Bid Deadline: December 30, 2025

About the Organization: The organization has held two boxing competitions. The first was in Sydney, delivered as part of World Pride, and the second was an exhibition event in Chicago. WGBC has been featured in CNN, BBC Sport, ABC, CBS, The Guardian and Out Magazine. It is looking for a space that can hold a boxing ring, training and officials area with at least 150-plus spectators, audio-visual capabilities and the ability to offer food and beverages. 2027-2028 The Hartford Nationals conducted by Move United

Bid Deadline: October 16, 2026

About the Organization: The Move United Nationals is a multi-sport, week-long competition for athletes with a physical, visual, and/or intellectual impairment. Sports contested include archery, para powerlifting, paratriathlon, shooting (air rifle), swimming, track and field, and wheelchair tennis. MORE INFORMATION
