You almost couldn’t have written a better script for the 2016 Ryder Cup: a smooth operation, record-breaking crowds, beautiful weather and a convincing win for the Americans on their home turf. Even a couple of problems that cropped up were handled quickly and decisively.
“There was a high level of satisfaction on how well the team executed and how well Minnesota and the volunteers rose to the occasion,” said 2016 Ryder Cup General Chairman Patrick Hunt. “It’s rare that you get through an event that big—and with that much pressure and expectations that high—and that everything works out that well.”
