The route for the 2013 USA Pro Challenge professional cycling stage race has been released. The 599-mile course will run through eight host cities in Colorado from August 19–25.
“This year we are, once again, taking [the cyclists] to the highest point of any professional cycling race with Independence Pass. We’re also returning to the iconic Time Trial route in Vail. The best in the sport will be racing through Colorado communities for what will be an epic week in professional cycling,” said Shawn Hunter, CEO of the USA Pro Challenge.
The stages of the race will take place in the following cities:
Stage 1: Aspen circuit race, August 19
Stage 2: Aspen to Breckenridge, August 20
Stage 3: Breckenridge to Steamboat Springs, August 21
Stage 4: Steamboat Springs to Beaver Creek, August 22
Stage 5: Vail individual time trial, August 23
Stage 6: Loveland to Ft. Collins, August 24
Stage 7: Denver Circuit Race, August 25
