Professional Bull Riders Launch RidePass Streaming Service
Posted On: February 13, 2018 By :Professional Bull Riders has announced the launch of RidePass, a 24/7, over-the-top (OTT) digital streaming service that will feature more than 500 hours annually of live event coverage and original programming. The service is designed to expand fan access to more than 150 live PBR and western sporting events, including additional coverage of PBR’s premier and non-televised tours, international events and live rodeo events. RidePass will also debut several original series including “Keeping’ It 90” and “In Color.”
“Fans have been asking for more live-event coverage, more access to the sport’s compelling personalities, and additional ways to celebrate cowboy values,” said Sean Gleason, CEO of PBR. “RidePass will allow fans to stream everything from their favorite PBR and rodeo events to original western-themed sports series available nowhere else.”
RidePass will also include coverage of high school rodeo as a result of a new partnership between PBR and the National High School Rodeo Association that aims to grow high school rodeo through media, marketing and programs for youth. Among the NHSRA events that RidePass will cover are the NHSRA High School Finals and the NHSRA Junior High Finals.
RidePass will be available as a mobile app on iOS and Android devices. Later this year, it is also expected to be available through other OTT services such as Amazon, Apple TV and Roku. The network’s first live streaming event will be PBR’s St. Louis Invitational at Scottrade Center on February 17.
