The Premier Lacrosse League powered by Ticketmaster has partnered with travel search partner Kayak, as the official travel partner of the the league.
The league will be the first professional sports organization to book its league and corporate travel through Kayak for Business – Kayak’s platform for simplified corporate travel.
“We pride ourselves on bringing the worlds’ best lacrosse players and experience to lacrosse fans around the country. From our very first season, our touring model has fueled the growth of our league, and the continued growth of our sport,” said Andrew Sinnenberg, PLL co-founder and chief operating officer. “An innovative and user-friendly booking platform like Kayak for Business is critical to our leagues’ season operations as we deliver on our mission to trailblaze the future of professional sports.”
As the league’s official travel partner, Kayak will have on-field signage at PLL games, advertise across PLL broadcasts and partner on a content series highlighting what makes each new PLL teams’ home market unique. Kayak will also aid all PLL staff and player travel bookings through the Kayak for Business platform.
Kayak for Business was launched in 2020 as a corporate travel solution to make booking business travel as simple as booking a vacation. The platform offers booking options from thousands of airlines, hotels and car rentals and a mobile-first design, discounted rates, expense integration and more.
“Kayak for Business will ensure the team can focus more on performance and less on travel logistics,” said Matt Clarke, Kayak’s vice president of North American marketing. “As two rapidly growing brands, we are excited to partner with and support the PLL for their upcoming season, reflecting our commitment to simplifying travel for both leisure and corporate travel.”
The PLL’s 2024 season will be the league’s first with teams tied to home markets. The league, which began in 2018, will play in 12 cities nationwide through its 14-week, tour-based season. Eight of the league’s 10 regular season game weekends will be held in teams’ home markets, with Minneapolis and Fairfield, Connecticut, selected to host all eight PLL teams. The PLL’s All-Star Weekend will be held in Louisville for the second straight season.
