Perfect Game’s 23rd annual All-American Classic will return to Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, on August 17.

This marks the first time the event will be held at Petco Park since 2021, with the stadium having previously hosted the AAC 14 times from 2006–2007, 2009–2019 and in 2021. For the past three years, the Perfect Game All-American Classic was played at Chase Field in Phoenix.

The All-American Classic brings together the top 60 high school baseball players from across North America.  MLB Hall of Famer and Padres executive Trevor Hoffman will return as the honorary chairman for the All-American Classic, a role he previously held from 2011–2021. Hoffman, an investor with Perfect Game, played 16 of his 19 major league seasons with the Padres, compiling a 2.76 ERA and 552 saves in 1,035 games.

“What a thrill it is for Perfect Game and the Padres to bring the All-American Classic back to Petco Park,” said Hoffman. “The Classic is something young baseball players work hard to be a part of and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase the best of the best in America’s finest city.”

Perfect Game will also hold annual events such as the PG All-Star Game, featuring the top players of the 2027 and 2028 classes, and the Home Run Challenge at Petco Park. Of the 1,126 players that have participated in the previous 22 All-American Classic games, 850 went on to become MLB Draft selections.

Dating to 2003, some of MLB’s top current players have competed in Perfect Game’s All-American Classic, including Bryce Harper, Gunnar Henderson, Bobby Witt Jr., Gerrit Cole, Freddie Freeman, Francisco Lindor and Zack Wheeler.
