Panama City Beach Sports Complex to Host College Baseball Classic

The Panama City Beach Sports Complex and Visit Panama City Beach will host the 2022 NJCAA College Baseball Classic starting February 4 with 16 junior college teams from across the country, 10 of which being nationally ranked either last year or in the 2022 preseason poll.

Teams committed include 2022 preseason No. 1 San Jacinto (Houston, Texas) and 2021 No. 1 team Wabash Valley from Mt. Carmel, Illinois. All games will take place at the new astroturf fields at PCB Sports Complex, which is managed by Sports Facility Management. An MVP of the event will be named, in honor of MLB 324-game winner and Hall of Famer Don Sutton, who pitched at Gulf Coast Community College.
