The Pac-12 CEO Group has extended Commissioner Larry Scott’s contract through the academic year of 2017–2018. As part of the extension, the CEO Group—made up of the 12 university presidents and chancellors—also named Scott as the executive chairman of Pac-12 Enterprises.
“Larry’s leadership and vision is critical as we realize our tremendous potential as a conference built on a firm foundation of academic excellence and superior athletic achievement,” said Elson Floyd, president of Washington State University and chair of the Pac-12 CEO Group.
Scott stepped into the role of commissioner on July 1, 2009.
“I am honored and gratified by the support from the CEO Group of our great institutions,” Scott said. “We have reached a number of key milestones in the past four years and none of this would have been possible without the vision and commitment of our board.”
