The National Hockey League will hold its 2020 Draft at the Bell Centre in Montreal, returning to the province of Quebec for the first time since 2009.
The 2020 event will be held June 26—27. It will be the 27th time that Montreal has hosted the draft overall; previous Montreal sites for the draft included various hotels, the league offices and the Montreal Forum.
“We are very pleased to have been chosen by the league to host this prestigious event,” said France Margaret Bélanger, Montreal Canadiens executive vice president for commercial and corporate affairs. “This sign of confidence in our organization and our fans from league management demonstrates that Montreal is, and remains, a top NHL city. For many young hockey players, living this moment at the Bell Centre in Montreal will be an extraordinary experience.”
The 2019 Draft began on Friday in Vancouver.
