New T100 Triathlon World Tour Finals Headed to Dubai
Meydan Racecourse will host the event from November 15–17, 2024
Posted On: May 28, 2024 By :The Professional Triathletes Organization and World Triathlon have announced the new T100 Triathlon World Tour finals will head to Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse on November 15–17 as the official World Championship for long distance triathlon.
Dubai will be the penultimate leg on the eight-stop, $7 million global triathlon tour which started in Miami on March 9 and continued in Singapore April 13–14. The Tour visits San Francisco (June 8–9), London (July 27–28), Ibiza (September 28–29) and Las Vegas (October 19–20) before finishing up in the United Arab Emirates.
“It’s great to be finally sharing the exciting course details of our first ever event in the UAE, especially the iconic location of Meydan Racecourse,” said PTO Chief Executive Officer Sam Renouf. “The first Dubai T100 will be one of the most anticipated stops on the new T100 Triathlon World Tour, with the world’s best Triathletes as well as a host of amateurs all getting the chance to race on the same course. I’m especially grateful to our partners, the Dubai Sports Council, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Holding. ”
The Dubai T100 Triathlon women’s and men’s professional races will take place at the racecourse, home of the 2022 Dubai World Cup. The swim stage will take place in the Crystal Lagoon swimming complex and the cycle stage will be at Meydan, which includes the Royal Bridge. As well as the Triathlon events, there will also be other participation opportunities offered throughout the weekend, including relays, sprints, youth events and running.

DSC supports the sector of the organization of sports events and boosts its contribution to the enhancement of sports tourism & domestic product in Dubai.”
To qualify for the grand prize, each athlete must complete a minimum of five races plus the Grand Final. Athletes accumulate 35 points for a first-place finish, down to one point for 20th place at each race. Each athlete’s best three T100 race scores, plus the Grand Final, will count towards the inaugural women’s and men’s T100 World Championship.
