Jim Olson has been named chief operating officer and Don Stirling has been named chief revenue officer for Miller Sports Properties. Olson has been with the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies for nearly 19 years and Stirling has been with the LHM Group since December 2012.
“Jim and Don both bring a wealth of experience to the table in terms of leadership skills, long-term vision and sports property management. They will be instrumental in helping to launch our efforts to the next level by creating an outstanding product offering and guest experience for our fans,” said Miller Sports Properties President Steve Miller.
In his new role, Olson will be responsible for strategic planning and overseeing the day-to-day business operations of all Miller Sports Properties. Previously, Olson has served as senior vice-president of sales and marketing for the Utah Jazz, EnergySolutions Arena and the Salt Lake Bees.
Stirling’s new position will include overseeing revenue generation for all Miller Sports Properties. Most recently, he served as a vice-president of special projects for Miller Management Corporation. Stirling has held sales and marketing positions with NBA Properties, the Ladies Professional Golf Association, the Salt Lake organizing committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, IMG and the Massachusetts Sports Commission.
Miller Sports Properties include the Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake Bees, Miller Performance, the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah and EnergySolutions Arena.
