Michael Embree has been named as the executive director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
“We are very pleased to have Michael leading the NSCA at this strategic time in its history; his decades of nonprofit management experience will help the NSCA move to the next level,” said Dr. Steve Fleck, NSCA board president.
As executive director, Embree will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the staff at its headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and will report to the NSCA board of directors.
“I believe the NSCA and its thousands of professional members, from strength coaches to personal trainers to those in research and education, are critical in supporting efforts to improve athletic performance and fitness as well as addressing our society’s need for health and wellness solutions,” said Embree.
