The LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games unveiled its latest custom emblem, honoring the upcoming 2024 Paralympic Summer Games in Paris and looking ahead to the first time in history that Los Angeles will host the Paralympic Games in 2028.

With a nod to the Olympic Handover ‘A’ that was released on July 22, the custom Paralympic emblem has its own look to commemorate when the Paralympic flag will be handed to Los Angeles at the Closing Ceremony on September 8.

“It will be a historic moment when the Paralympic flag gets handed over to LA on the world’s stage in September,” said LA28 Chief Marketing Officer Amy Gleeson. “To honor this milestone, we are releasing a custom Paralympic Handover emblem, with more emblems to come as we celebrate Paralympians throughout the Paris Games and look ahead to an incredible handover celebration that’s authentic to the LA28 Games.”

Throughout the Olympic Games, LA28 released seven new emblems from athletes and artists. It will continue to drop custom designs throughout the Paralympic Games to celebrate the handover moment at the Closing Ceremony.

The custom Paralympic ‘A’ is the 50th custom design in LA28’s campaign that launched in 2020 set against a static and bold L, 2 and 8 that serve as the mark’s foundation ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
