Kindra Fry has been appointed president and CEO of Experience Bryan College Station (Texas), where she served as interim CEO since June after years leading the bureau’s sports and events division. A national search had been conducted that included interviewing two candidates from outside the organization. According to a release from Experience Bryan College Station, “it became apparent the candidate with the most potential existed from within the organization.”
“2004 was an excellent year for our community when Kindra Fry joined (the now titled) Experience Bryan College Station team as the director of sports,” said Experience Bryan College Station Chair Jay Primavera. “Thirteen years of hard work later, Kindra has advanced through the ranks and has proven to be just the leader our community needs to promote BCS. We all look forward to Kindra growing our convention business with the same energy and success as she has with our sports associations.”
Fry began her career in 1999 as marketing manager of the National Association of International Athletics in Olathe, Kansas. She then served as manager of sports marketing and convention/tours for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, the city’s convention and visitors bureau, before joining Experience Bryan College Station. Fry also serves as vice-chair/chair-elect of the National Association of Sports Commissions.
