Open desert spaces, breathtaking vistas, historic sites that harken back to the Old West and favorable weather to enjoy it all make Southwestern destinations a favorite with organizers across the country. Softball tournaments, CrossFit competitions and even cowboy mounted shooting contests are just some of the sports events that have found a home in this region and enjoy healthy turnouts year after year.
