Jetr Global Sports + Entertainment has appointed attorney Rebecca Maxwell as vice president of immigration for the firm, which specializes in international immigration for sports and entertainment, government affairs and global strategy.
Maxwell brings more than a decade of experience in immigration law and policy, having held roles at both the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. She most recently served as senior advisor to the deputy director of USCIS and acting chief of the Administrative Appeals Office.
“Rebecca’s deep knowledge of immigration law, coupled with her leadership experience at the highest levels of government, makes her an invaluable addition to the Jetr Global team,” said Chloe Dybdahl, senior vice president at Jetr Global. “As we continue to support elite talent on the global stage — especially in areas such as women’s sports, where international opportunities are rapidly expanding — her expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service.”
In her new position at Jetr, Maxwell will expand the firm’s immigration services, provide strategic guidance and legal expertise to athletes, entertainers and organizations navigating international travel. Her appointment comes as Jetr Global continues to lead efforts in facilitating travel for talent across the sports industry, including its growing portfolio in women’s sports.
Maxwell’s background includes advising on high-profile immigration cases, developing policy strategies and managing legal matters within the federal government. She has provided key insights into how global mobility impacts athletes, leagues and international competitions.
“Sport unites and inspires and is a lens into what is most powerful about immigration: stories of perseverance, resilience and sacrifice,” said Maxwell. “Jetr Global is at the forefront of ensuring that athletes, entertainers and industry leaders can move seamlessly across borders to compete and perform at the highest levels. I am thrilled to join this team and look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to best assist our clients in navigating the immigration landscape.”
