Jamie Corr has been named the managing director at Burson Sports, a specialist sports practice based in Lausanne, succeeding Lars-Haue Pederson, who is stepping down after more than 20 years of leading the agency.
“I am thrilled to join Burson Sports and to have the opportunity to build on its incredible legacy” said Corr. “I am excited to work with the talented team in Lausanne and in close collaboration with the wider Burson global sports network, and specifically our other sports centres of excellence in London, the Middle East and U.S.”
Corr was most recently at MKTG, a global sports and entertainment marketing agency, where he served as senior vice president EMEA of sponsorship & consultancy. His previous roles include senior positions at the International Olympic Committee, GMR, and Hill & Knowlton.
“With our geographic breadth combined with our depth of talent and experience, Burson Sports presents a compelling and truly differentiated offer, combining capabilities in marketing activation; bid support and event activation; sports strategy and policy; issues and regulatory; influencer marketing; and athlete management and engagement,: said Scott Wilson, Burson’s chief executive officer, EMEA. “I am delighted that with Jamie’s appointment, we have secured another experienced and recognised leader in the international sports industry. His background, network and expertise will only strengthen Burson Sports and the service we provide to our current and future clients.”
