Ironman has unveiled its summer 2024 Ironman 70.3 triathlon race calendar for Europe, the United States and Canada as several events have already opened for general registration.
The summer season kicks off June 8, 2024, with the Ironman 70.3 Boulder in Colorado at the foot of the Flatiron mountains. There are three Ironman 70.3 races on June 9, 2024 — Eagleman, Maryland; Des Moines, Iowa, and the Western Massachusetts race, which ends in Springfield.
Ironman returns to Mont-Tremblant in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains in Quebec on June 23. The circuit then heads to England with the Bolton Triathlon on June 30, while another event will take place that day across the pond in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania.
Jönköping, Sweden, will host an event on July 7 in an area that features a total of nine lakes. July 14 sees two events with the first in Geneva, New York, which features a 1.2-mile swim in a glacial formed lake and a 56-mile course that leads athletes through vineyards. Swansea, Wales, will also have an Ironman event on July 14, featuring the waterfront of Swansea Bay and the seaside village of Mumbles.
A week later on July 21, Ironman heads to Salem, Oregon, which features the fastest swim on the Ironman 70.3 circuit in the Willamette River and a 56-mile ride through Oregon’s wine country. That day, the circuit is also in Sandusky, Ohio, named best Coastal Small Town in America.
Augusta, Maine, will host July 28 on a course that features a top 5 Athlete Choice Award winning swim in North America and is one the quickest Ironman 70.3 swims with the current propelling athletes 1.2 miles downriver. Calgary, Alberta, also has a race July 28, along the Canadian Rocky Mountains that leads to Lake Harmony and Mikelson National Golf Course.
Rounding out the summer schedule is Duisburg, Germany, on September 1. Duisburg is located on the Rhine and Ruhr rivers and is home to the world’s largest inland port. The Duisburg swim course was voted on the Top 10 swim experiences around the globe.
