Hyatt Regency Century City Hosts Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Gala
An impressive array of sports figures were on hand at the Hyatt Regency Century City on August 8 for the 14th annual Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Gala. The organization, which was founded by Dana and David Pump (of Double Pump, Inc.) in honor of their parents, raises money for the treatment and cure of cancer. Money raised by the gala goes to organizations that include the Carole Pump Women’s Center, the Harold and Carole Pump Department of Radiation Oncology and the Leavey Cancer Center at Northridge Medical Center.
Sports stars and other celebrities on hand for the event, which honored Vin Scully, Sugar Ray Leonard and Jim Brown, included Leila Ali, Marcus Allen, Jimmy Connors, Bob Costas, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Hearns, Bo Jackson, Ray Jones, Jr., Al Michaels, Warren Moon, Shane Mosley, Norm Nixon, Doc Rivers, John Salley, Steve Sax, Gale Sayers, Byron Scott, Garry Shandling, Emmitt Smith, Chris Tucker and Marcellus Wiley, who served as the MC.
