Huntsville to Host 2024 NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship
Event to take place May 2–4, 2024, at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama
Posted On: November 30, 2023 By :The National Junior College Athletic Association has named the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Huntsville Sports Commission as its host for the 2024 NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship.
The 12-team championship will be played at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama, from May 2–4, 2024.
“We are excited to host the NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship in Huntsville,” said Joel Lamp, sports manager of the Huntsville/Madison County CVB. “We look forward to hosting the student-athletes at the premier inland beach volleyball facility and creating a memorable championship experience for everyone involved.”
Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Huntsville Sports Commission are also set to host the 2025 NJCAA championship tournament.
“Our team looks forward to welcoming NJCAA student-athletes to the Rocket City,” added Mark Russell, Huntsville Sports Commission executive director. “The pristine John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex will set the stage for the NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship, building on our reputation as the premier inland beach volleyball complex in the country.”
The 17-acre sand volleyball complex is part of a multi-year renovation of John Hunt Park. The facility features 15 sand volleyball courts, professional-level net systems, lighted courts and numerous amenities for student-athletes and fans.
“The NJCAA looks forward to having the 2024 Beach Volleyball Championship in Huntsville,” said Brian Luckett, NJCAA senior vice president for external affairs and development. “As beach volleyball continues to grow at the two-year level, the NJCAA is excited to see how Huntsville will be a part of that growth and creating the best championship experience for our student-athletes.”
