Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Adds to Board of Directors

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation has selected Wendy Brunet Burns and Patrick Kiernan to join its Board of Directors after each were nominated and approved by the board at the June meeting.

Burns has spent more than three decades in retail management and merchandising. She is the current co-managing partner of Westwin Business and Newburns Management Group. Burns specializes in designing and developing product lines and marketing for couture, home accents and fine fragrances.

Kiernan is currently the senior manager of accounting advisory and transformation services with the controllership transformation group at Deloitte. Kiernan works to assist clients with the exploration and implementation of technologies such as robotic process automation, data analytics and finance and accounting-focused solutions.

“Our Board of Directors is made up of some of the top leaders of our community,” said Jay Cicero, president and chief executive officer for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. “They devote countless hours and unwavering support to develop and promote sports tourism across our region. I do not doubt that both Wendy and Patrick will contribute significantly to the overall growth and success of the Sports Foundation.”

Burns and Kiernan will support the Sports Foundation’s mission of attracting and managing major sporting events that create economic impact and positive media opportunities for the State of Louisiana and the Greater New Orleans area.
