The GFNY Global Endurance Sports Series has added a new race to its 2025 calendar in the United States in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
The Michelob Ultra GFNY Pittsburgh – Monroeville, scheduled for September 21, 2025, is the 18th location revealed for the 2025 GFNY calendar and the second United States destination, joining Miami (April 13, 2025).
“We are so excited to host GFNY, welcoming cycling enthusiasts from all over the world to Pittsburgh and Monroeville,” said Amy Capcara, director of sales, marketing, and events at Visit Monroeville. “We know this event is more than just a race — it’s a showcase of endurance, community and the love for the sport. Best of luck to all participants and we hope you’ll extend your stay to enjoy all our area has to offer.”
The start and finish line will be in Monroeville, 15 minutes east of Pittsburgh. The course will take riders through Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties. The competitive long distance is 70 miles long with 7,756 feet of climbing, making it the most difficult race on the GFNY USA calendar. The recreational medium distance is 41 miles long and will tackle the same 10 climbs as the long route.
“A big thank you to Pittsburgh-Monroeville for receiving GFNY with open arms,” said GFNY President Lidia Fluhme. “We’re excited to become part of the local cycling community in Pittsburgh and to bring GFNY riders from across the country and abroad to town. Riders will get a tough racecourse thanks to the numerous hills in the area. Bring your climbing legs.”
