Angela Suggs, the president and chief executive officer of the Florida Sports Foundation, will be presented this week to trustees at Florida A&M University to be the school’s new vice president and athletics director as reported by Florida A&M fan site Rattler Nation.
Suggs was at FAMU prior to joining the Florida Sports Foundation as senior associate athletics director for external affairs and senior woman administrator, during which time she worked on the FAMU branding and logos for athletics.
Suggs has led the Florida Sports Foundation’s efforts to advocate for Florida’s sports industry that generates over $70 billion in economic impact annually. Suggs has led the organization since 2017, during which time Florida has hosted two Super Bowl games in 2020 and 2021 and the NFL Pro Bowl to Orlando (2023, 2024, and 2025).
Suggs also worked in marketing with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. She is a Tallahassee native who graduated from FAMU.
