Alina Hudak, who has worked in Miami-Dade County for more than three decades in a variety of city and county departments, will be the new president and chief executive officer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Miami Host Committee.
Hudak will oversee the planning and execution of Miami’s World Cup activities. She will replace Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, who is stepping down to focus on personal and professional commitments.
“The FIFA World Cup is more than just a soccer tournament — it’s a celebration of unity, diversity, and global connection,” Hudak said. “Miami is uniquely positioned to shine on this international stage and my vision is to create an unforgettable experience that highlights our city’s vibrant culture, innovative spirit and commitment to excellence. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a legacy that will inspire generations and I am honored to lead the charge in bringing it to life.”
Hudak was the first female city manager of Miami Beach, where she led efforts to enhance tourism, infrastructure and public safety. Prior to that, she served for 35 years as both the county manager and deputy mayor of Miami Dade County. During her time with Miami-Dade County, she oversaw projects such as six Super Bowls.
