Esport Canada to Host 2023 Annual General Meeting at EsportsTravel Summit
The event will coincide with the summit in Toronto, July 12–14
Posted On: April 25, 2023 By :Esport Canada and Northstar Meetings Group, a division of Northstar Travel Group, have announced an agreement that makes the EsportsTravel Summit the exclusive home to the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Esport Canada, a national organization dedicated to the development and promotion of esports in Canada. Esport Canada is a federally registered nonprofit and is recognized by the International Esports Federation as the national governing body for esports in Canada responsible for fielding competitive teams at IESF events.
Hosted by Destination Toronto, the 2023 EsportsTravel Summit will be held July 12–14 at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto. The EsportsTravel Summit is produced by Northstar Meetings Group and is the premier business conference focused on esports tournaments and events as well as the role of the travel industry in the continued growth of video gaming and esports.
Under terms of the agreement, event organizers from across the nation will be invited to attend the EsportsTravel Summit; an event that boasts unique opportunities to meet and collaborate with event destinations and suppliers to enhance their live-event capabilities.
Northstar will also provide Esport Canada with space for its 2023 Annual General Meeting that will serve as a hybrid event, allowing participation from members and stakeholders across the nation, while providing a physical gathering for those able to attend the in person.

The EsportsTravel Summit facilitates partnerships between esports organizations and the travel industry while providing educational programming, a marketplace with one-on-one appointment sessions and multiple business networking opportunities. The program for the 2023 EsportsTravel Summit includes off-site tours to several Toronto-based esports programs, including the headquarters of OverActive Media and the esports operations at Toronto Metropolitan University, an opening celebration and welcome to Toronto on the evening of Wednesday, July 12; educational programming and marketplace appointments on Thursday, July 13, and Thursday, July 14.
