The Strongman Corp. will hold its 2022 National Championships from October 13–16 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
“This national championship is a perfect example of an event that will have a tremendous impact on Erie County,” said Mark Jeanneret, executive director of the Erie Sports Commission. “We will have the opportunity to introduce our community to hundreds of athletes from around the country that otherwise might not have had a reason to experience what we have to offer.”
Male and female amateur athletes will compete in 10 weight classes in events that have included the Rogue Max Log Press, Gorilla Strength Wheelbarrow Deadlift, Rogue Bag Toss, Rogue Axle Clean and Press, Gorilla Strength Wheelbarrow Race and Rogue Yoke Walk. The 2021 Strongman Corp. National Championships were held in Salem, Virginia, with more than 250 athletes from 41 states.
“Strongman Corp. is extremely excited to host our national championship at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie,” said Dione Masters, chief executive officer and president of Strongman Corp. “After meeting and visiting a number of potential host destinations it became clear that Erie had everything that I was looking for in a championship location. The venue is fantastic and the accommodations available throughout the city will be convenient for our athletes.”
