USA Baseball and the Durham Bulls will host the All-American Women’s Baseball Classic from August 1–3 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.
The event will be held in conjunction with the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and American Girls Baseball, with support from Major League Baseball.
The Classic will be an identification event for future Women’s National Team programming. Players will be split into four teams and represent the four original AAGPBL teams of 1943: the South Bend Blue Sox, Racine Belles, Kenosha Comets and Rockford Peaches.

The event will follow a round-robin format with each team competing in a total of three games across the three days, and a champion will be crowned based on a point system. All six games will be broadcast for free on MLB.com, MLB.TV and in the MLB App.
Athletes will also be able to join an optional morning workout on August 2 led by USA Baseball and select coaching staff as an extra opportunity to be evaluated for future selection to Women’s National Team programming.
The event will include multiple off-field opportunities to celebrate the achievements of women in baseball. A reception will be held on July 31 for all participants that will include a panel discussion and a showing of “A League of Their Own.”
Additionally, athletes will serve as clinicians for a free Play Ball event that will be held on August 1 at the DBAP for youth ages 4–12. Play Ball is MLB’s youth engagement activity and global effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball-related activities in a fun environment.
