Posted On: December 7, 2012 By :Detroit will host the 2013 AAU Junior Olympic Games, scheduled for July 24–August 4. The games, the largest amateur multisport youth event in the U.S., will be hosted by the Detroit Sports Commission and the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. Detroit last hosted the event in 2008 and is one of five cities in a rotation to host through 2016. Other sites include Des Moines, Iowa; Houston; New Orleans; and Hampton Roads, Virginia.
