David Clark has been appointed president and CEO of Visit Mobile (Alabama) following a nearly six-month long search. He will begin his new role on April 1.
“I am excited to join the Visit Mobile team and stakeholders to continue to raise the bar with promoting tourism, lodging and positioning Mobile as one of the South’s leading destinations,” Clark said. “I believe that Visit Mobile is about sales, service and experience, and engaging all stakeholders to promote sustainability of our great city.”
Clark has 29 years of experience in the hospitality, lodging and tourism industries. He previously served as general manager of The Beach Club in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Prior to that, he worked with Marriott International for 25 years, spending 23 of those at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama.
Clark currently serves as president of the University of South Alabama’s Hospitality and Tourism advisory board and is on the board of the Coastal Alabama Partnership and the Alabama Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance.
