
The Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Concord, North Carolina, has announced the Coach O Track and Field National Championships will take place July 23–26 at J.M. Robinson High School.
The new track and field facility features a Mondo Super X track and field surface. The event is expected to feature club teams and athletes from the United States, Canada and Caribbean.
“We’re honored that Cabarrus County has been selected as the host destination for the Coach O Track and Field National Championships in July,” said Donna Carpenter, president and chief executive officer of the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The J.M. Robinson Mondo Track & Field Facility is a unique venue and combines with the area’s outstanding offerings and hospitality to create an unmatched experience for attendees. We look forward to welcoming the athletes and their families, event organizers, and everyone who will be visiting for the event this summer.”
The venue includes an eight-lane, 400-meter track and the stadium has a seating capacity of 3,750, as well as concessions, a field house and a large area to host team tents. Cabarrus County is located 30 minutes northeast of Charlotte. Coach O, a track and field event management, registration and marketing operations company, will sponsor the event.
