Club América, Xolos de Tijuana to Meet in San Diego
Liga MX matchup will be March 26 at Snapdragon Stadium
Posted On: February 8, 2023 By :Primetime Sports and Snapdragon Stadium will host the return of Tour Águila to Southern California with a Liga MX clash between Club América and Xolos de Tijuana on March 26.
Tickets will go on sale on February 10 at 12 p.m. PST at snapdragonstadium.com. This will be the first men’s professional soccer match to take place at Snapdragon Stadium, which is built on the former site of Jack Murphy Stadium and Qualcomm Stadium.
Club América is Mexico’s most-followed team and one of the most popular soccer teams in the world. Xolos de Tijuana’s cross-border fanbase lends itself to a large Southern California following as well. There will be a Fan Fest prior to the game outside the stadium starting at 11 a.m. with music, food, team mascots, championship trophies, legends and more.
Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-seat multipurpose venue owned by San Diego State University and managed by OVG360. The stadium is home to San Diego State football, San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and the San Diego Legion of Major League Rugby.
